all stars

Alexander Wang tee (seen here), One Teaspoon denim shorts (seen here, here & here), Current/Elliot 'infantry' jacket (here & here), Chloe 'susanna' boots (seen here, here & here), Alexander Wang 'rocco' bag (seen here, here & here)

This is definitely an outfit made out of my wardrobe all stars, you can just see from all the tags above how much all these individual items have been worn. My love of stripes seems to at an all time high, especially when dressed down with my go-to pair of denim shorts (nobody does it better than One Teaspoon) and my favourite deconstructed trench jacket.

Hands down, these Chloe boots have been my best purchase all year - they go with absolutely everything and even after almost a year, I still love them like crazy. Is it crazy that I still want them in black & silver?

what's better than regular?

Bassike tee | Mango suede jacket| Current Elliot boyfriend jeans | Isabel Marant Dicker boots (seen here)| Chloe Paraty bag (seen here and here)

What's better than ordinary boyfriend jeans? Well, white boyfriend jeans of course! It has all the comfort of wearing boyfriend jeans plus the added chic of it being white. There's nothing I love more that wearing white with a nice tan...or my Isabel Marant boots.

mosaic

Glassons dress | Current/Elliot jacket (see here) | Converse sneakers| Zara braided handle tote

The perfect outfit for running around between brunch, work and studying at uni. I really like the mosaic-like pattern on this Glassons dress, especially how the change in the print gives the dress a drop-waist feel. And what better jacket to wear over this dress than my Current/Elliot trench-military jacket goodness? Can't wait for the weather to stay warm so I can wear this jacket more!

trenchcoat dilemma

Sportsgirl tee (seen here & here) | J Brand jeans | Current/Elliot jacket | Willow 'work' boots (seen here, here & here) | Celine clutch

This jacket has single-handedly solved a trench coat dilemma that I've had for the past two years. I've been back and forth on whether to invest in a Burberry trench coat in the classic camel colour. I have a gorgeous Burberry trench in this deep purple that I wear on special occasions but I've been craving a casual one for autumn/spring weather, so that I can wear outfits like this a la Mrs Bloom. And then I came across this Current/Elliot jacket which was essentially the love child of the trench of my dreams and my essential military jackets. Sometimes when it's right, you know it straight away.

p.s. I am really get my worth out of these boots, aren't I? It's all about cost per wear people!

sunset alleyway

Mister Zimi leather jacket | Current Elliot jeans | Bassike tee | Zara lace-up heels | Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 bag

If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you'll know that in the past few months I've been desperately trying to cull my wardrobe. Albeit there've been some impulsive purchases along the way, as well as some perfect investment pieces (more on that later). My dream is to have long-lasting pieces in my wardrobe that will last the test of time. Case in point, this Louis Vuitton bag- it was my first "expensive" or rather high-end bag. The one that started the collection. I've had it for 6-7 years and its still on high rotation. It's the perfect bag to chuck everything in and run out the door. So much so that I'm even considering in buying it in the monogram. Crazy?

But I love that this outfit is made out of things in my wardrobe that I've had in awhile. The only thing from my outfit that I've bought recently are my Zara heels. It's a great feeling to have things in your wardrobe that are more relevant than just the one season. I need more investment pieces in my life.

variations of such

Current Elliot jeans // Wrangler knit // Saba leather jacket // Country Road tote // Tony Bianco 'Karissa' heels // Madewell belt

I can't believe that it's December and I'm still able to wear my leather jacket. Granted,
it's probably thinner than most denim jacket I own, it still serves as a reminder of what
a tease summer has been this year. Well, it gives me a chance to air out my favourite
Current/Elliot polka dot jeans (worn previously here). They're the perfect understated
statement jeans, it adds the perfect amount of quirky to any outfit without completely
overpowering it.

These photos were taken just up the street from Orto Trading Co. where my boyfriend
& I decided to go to celebrate the end of my intense week of summer school. I originally
had grand plans of being able to take photos for le blog after classes but even I didn't
want to subject anyone to my face after 9 hours of 'interpretations of contract law".
But you're not really missing out on much, it was pretty much variations of the above,
with the occasional pair of One Teaspoon shorts thrown in (you know how obsessed
I am). But I've been busy this weekend, so be prepared for a blogging onslaught.

awkward eye contact

Stylestalker shirt // Current/Elliot jeans // Witchery beanie & bag // Acne Rise boots

Sometimes when you're on your way to uni and you've somehow decided to wear
green polka jeans to a very no-frills corporations law class; you have to resist every
man-repelling fibre of your body telling you to inevitably pair it with an equally
interestingly patterned top. Who says the pants should have all the fun?

But then you have to ask yourself:
Do you really want to be dressed to attract attention when you've done zero readings?
Sometimes it's all about business on top (to avoid awkward eye-contact with the lecturer
that just asked something that you can't even decipher the question of) and party at the bottom.
And I didn't even have my party shoes on. Which ideally should be tasseled Louboutins
in a flamingo pink.

What's your favourite outfit to avoid awkward lecturer eye contact?
Besides skipping class all together.

tie me by the waist

Jill Stuart cardigan // Current Elliot jeans // Steve Madden heels // Sportsgirl scarf & tank

Just a quick mid-week post to get through Humpday Wednesday.
These photos were taken near the end of last month, when the weather was a bit cooler. Although, to be honest, sweaters seem quite appropriate at the moment.

I bought this Jill Stuart cardigan in Hong Kong last time I visited, maybe almost 2 years ago.
My tastes have grown decidedly less girly in the past year so its been sitting in my closet for awhile. But I quite like the way it looks with my polka dot jeans and the leopard print scarf. I can't say no to a soft grey knit!

Hope you're having a great week so far :)

celine me alone.

Current/Elliot polka dot jeans (similar here and here)// Celine Me Alone tee // Tony Bianco Karissa heels // Stylestalker jacket // Luv AJ necklace

Just a quick post before I head off to bed. Uni just started again (third week already!) and combined with work, there really aren't enough hours in the day. But who am I kidding? Class is just another time for more online shopping.
