coveteur'd : rumi neely

Photos courtesy of The Coveteur

So this is what happens when two of my favourite blogs get together and make internet babies; an explosion of excitement from my inner voyeur. The only thing better than being able to see the inside of The Fashion Toast's wardrobe is being able to run off with it. We may not be the same size, but I am willing to not eat and maybe cut off an arm. Or maybe just so that I can roll around in them and yell my pretties!

stockings layering

Wildfox muscle tank // Forever 21 cardigan // Sass & Bide skirt // Miu Miu bag // Nine West shoes

I found these photos on my laptop from about a month ago. I think we were quite lucky this year, our winter was mild and I could still prance around in skirts, albeit I am wearing 2 layers of stockings. My friend took these lovely photos for me, and that's her boyfriend bombing in the 3rd photo. I love the days where the sun is out and it's just finished raining, it's just warm enough to wear minimal layers and still call it winter. But I'm welcoming summer with both arms! Come to mama!

apparently SLP has a better ring than YSL?

yves saint no more?

Unless you've been living under a rock that has no internet connection, and if you're with Vodafone- you probably don't need to be under a rock to not receive internet connection- you'd know that under the helm of Hedi Slimane the new ready-to-wear lines from the iconic brand Yves Saint Laurent will officially become Saint Laurent Paris. Apparently the traditionally interlocked initial YSL stamp will remain unaltered on the handbags, shoes and cosmetics but I question how long that will remain. It's one of the most recognisable logos in the world...and some new guy thinks thinks that he has the right to alter that legacy? I get that he thinks he's drawing his inspiration from the first collection which was named 'Saint Laurent Rive Gauche' but isn't that a tad bit ironic considering he's already moved the design studios to LA? Perhaps the addition of 'Paris' to the name is overcompensation for the recent address change? Someone needs to tell the boy to buy a Ferrari and get over it.

I say it's time to stock up on YSL pieces before your clutch comes with an S lock. Unless someone within the PPR Group recognises the stupidity atrocious nature of this decision and gets a new creative director stat (Mr Pinault, I'm looking at you!). Or perhaps a quiet name change back to YSL?

Anyways, my main point is this: turn off your computer, put on some (still YSL) lipstick and go forth and buy some YSL before everything goes down the pooper. I personally have my eyes on those leopard hi-tops.

yellow sunshine.

Sass & Bide jumper // ASOS leather skirt (similar here)// Low Luv ring // Country Road tote // Alexander Wang danica heels

Apologies for the week-long disappearance. Hope nobody was too concerned and called in the FBI/Criminal Minds people- although I really wouldn't mind, Derek Morgan is bangin'. It's been nothing but work work and more work, with the occasional Family Law exam thrown in. Y'know, just to spice things up. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago when the sun was being particularly kind and I forgot that it was still the dead of winter. I blame it all the LA blogs at the moment filled with sunshine, dresses and singlets.

Please come quickly summer!

floral party on my pants.

sabo skirt pants // bardot knit // american apparel clutch // thakoon boots

I decided to step outside my comfort zone by pairing my floral printed pants with another pattern, granted that it's only colour block but still a braver choice than my original white tee. I kind of regret oversizing on these pants, I don't quite remember why I did it but now I'm stuck with pants that sit way too low on my hips even with these heels. But I adore the print so I'm sticking it out!

love cats

erin wasson x one teaspoon

She's someone who is achingly beautiful and cool all wrapped up into one. It only makes sense that she be fronting One Teaspoon's new campaign. I'm loving the bohemian rock'n'roll attitude of this collection and the photos. It's everything you need this summer; low slung shorts, raglan tees and messy beach hair. Oh, and the Wasson attitude. Can someone hook me up?

running through my mind

running through my mind

A few things that's been running through my mind. It's that awkward time of the year where it's still officially winter but there are some gorgeous sunny days were it almost feels like spring. These are just a few essentials that, if money was not an issue, would be holding my hand through the difficult days ahead.

Clockwise from the top left: Azzedine Alaia cut-out boots that is pretty much the perfect shoe for in-between weather. It's winter enough so that you don't look odd but the cut-outs are the perfect cool spring edit. These are on sale at the outnet, so if you have an extra thousand pounds- you can buy us both a pair. Balenciaga leather jacket for when the sun sets and you need something to throw over your  Acne silk dress that's in one of the most perfect shades of pink I've seen in awhile. Since it's not quite summer, the sun will probably be playing hide-and-seek so these lightly-tinted Ray-Ban aviators are the perfect choice. You may also wear these sitting next to Anna Wintour in the first row, show her how the New Gen does it. No compilation is complete with a little Dannijo love; the perfect compromise between bling and tribal. The red Phillip Lim bag is so that you have something to carry your leather jacket in, flats are optional. And almost-spring isn't almost spring without a floral skirt by Girl by Band of Outsiders. These may be substituted by the Isabel Marant skirt that you wore to death last year. It's Marant, it will not date. Or pair it with your Balenciaga leather jacket.
