sea breeze

Country Road shirt, Unif.m leather shorts, Toga Pulla boots, Miu Miu clutch, Celine sunglasses

Beautiful weather should always be celebrated by the seaside, even if it's not quite hot enough for a tanning session. And there's no better outfit than a simple (and thin!) white shirt that is just the right amount of creased, paired with leather shorts- everything is better in leather.

However the boots are optional, pony hair probably isn't ideal for strolls on the beach but these have been sitting in my closet for way too long and they need to see the light of day. It's nice to give my Chloe boots a rest, because I foresee these boots being glued to my feet this winter - absolutely cannot wait to wear them with either leather pants or ripped jeans (surprise, surprise!).

variations of such

Current Elliot jeans // Wrangler knit // Saba leather jacket // Country Road tote // Tony Bianco 'Karissa' heels // Madewell belt

I can't believe that it's December and I'm still able to wear my leather jacket. Granted,
it's probably thinner than most denim jacket I own, it still serves as a reminder of what
a tease summer has been this year. Well, it gives me a chance to air out my favourite
Current/Elliot polka dot jeans (worn previously here). They're the perfect understated
statement jeans, it adds the perfect amount of quirky to any outfit without completely
overpowering it.

These photos were taken just up the street from Orto Trading Co. where my boyfriend
& I decided to go to celebrate the end of my intense week of summer school. I originally
had grand plans of being able to take photos for le blog after classes but even I didn't
want to subject anyone to my face after 9 hours of 'interpretations of contract law".
But you're not really missing out on much, it was pretty much variations of the above,
with the occasional pair of One Teaspoon shorts thrown in (you know how obsessed
I am). But I've been busy this weekend, so be prepared for a blogging onslaught.

all wrapped up

t by alexander wang skirt // country road shirt (seen here) // topshop sneakers (seen here) // karen walker sunglasses (seen here & here) // Alexander Wang spiral clutch

an outfit whipped up in 3 minutes on a lazy sunday (so lazy
that it even foregoes the capital 's' treatment)
due to two parts running late and mainly one part
drinking too much the night before. The clutch was a remnant
of the previous night's outfit and since it already housed all
my essentials, it only made sense to not change bags.
I love finding old pieces in your wardrobe (circa 2010
is positively ancient in fashion, non?) that still blend right into
your current aesthetic. Why do I need a leather doggy bag (via. jil sander)
when I have a notebook that masquarades as a clutch?

denim skirt revival

Bassike denim skirt // Country Road checked shirt // Witchery cardigan // Alexander Wang danica shoes

Spring is the perfect time to start experimenting with layers,
especially anything in the form of a long coat-like cardigan.
This Witchery cardigan is the perfect solution to warm
days and chilly nights.

I never thought I'd see the day where I'm wearing a
short denim skirt again; although they were pretty much my
uniform in high school. But the way that this Bassike
skirt is distressed and sits nonchalantly between
my hips and waist- I love.

baggies

Rag & Bone knit // Sportsgirl jacket // One Teaspoon 'baggies' jeans // RMK shoes // Country Road tote

I really, really wanted to show you guys these jeans that I recently added to
my One Teaspoon family, so you'll have to put up with the Instagram shot. I spied
these at the Sydney Westfield One Teaspoon store and
was immediately drawn to the colour and fit.

In actuality, the colour of both the jeans and the knit isn't that bright; Instagram
filters have a way of doing things like that (it's a nasty habit really). I've had a soft
spot for ripped denim since my first pair of J Brand jean (remember these babies?)
and these One Teaspoon pair are in the most intriguing shade of light blue
with a slight grey undertone. It's almost, almost reminds me of an acid wash...
except without the actual acid wash- so really just bleach (feel free to ignore
me if I'm confusing you even more). Anyways, I sized up 3 sizes
to get the extreme baggy look and so that I can differentiate this pair of
boyfriend jeans to my other J Brand Aidans (worn here, here and here).

It's the perfect solution for lazy and uninspired outfit days
Ripped jeans add instant bad-ass to your wardrobe
But you already know that.

yellow sunshine.

Sass & Bide jumper // ASOS leather skirt (similar here)// Low Luv ring // Country Road tote // Alexander Wang danica heels

Apologies for the week-long disappearance. Hope nobody was too concerned and called in the FBI/Criminal Minds people- although I really wouldn't mind, Derek Morgan is bangin'. It's been nothing but work work and more work, with the occasional Family Law exam thrown in. Y'know, just to spice things up. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago when the sun was being particularly kind and I forgot that it was still the dead of winter. I blame it all the LA blogs at the moment filled with sunshine, dresses and singlets.

Please come quickly summer!
