take me to the seaside

Bondi Beach, Sydney.

There is nothing I love more than spending my day by the beach with good company. That's the best thing about spring, the weather isn't so unbearably hot that you can't even fathom the idea of wearing anything except loose muscle tanks and whisper thin skirts but you can start to lose the layers that have somehow become an inherent part of who you are over the winter. It's always great to leave the office and all responsibilities behind and just to relax by the beach with good food and good friends.

sculptures by the sea 2012

I don't think I ever understood the importance of the weekends
until it became the thin line between me and Jack Nicholson
in The Shining.

All work and no play makes Karen a dull boy (?!)

I spent the past Sunday wandering around Bondi,
probably one of my favourite places to be during the summer
All plans to see the Chanel exhibition went out the
door when I realised that it was the last day for the Sculptures
by the Sea exhibition. Evidently the same thought went through half
of Sydney-siders' head and boy was it packed there on Sunday!
And here I thought everyone had migrated south for Derby Day.

I wish I could have taken some more photos during the walk
but with the crowds of people swarming about, I was lucky to even
see anything for myself. Although, truth me told, I was way too
mesmerized by the jewel toned ocean to really concentrate on the
sculptures. As you can see from the above photos.
You can view the photos here.

(3) walking a.wang advertisement // (4) breakfast with bf; craving french toast

I'm sure that by now, everyone has replaced their stalker-binoculars-of-choice with instragram. It gives you all the perks of looking into someone's life without the restraining order side effect. You may think that it won't give you the same high, but don't knock it until you try it- especially with winter setting in (well, in Australia anyways). Why be outside in the freezing cold stalking when you can do the same in in the safety of your own home?

To make things easier, you kiddies can stalk me on instagram for photos that don't end up making it on here and a variety of foodporn. You know you want to :)
