It's not everyday you find the perfect graffiti wall to take photos in front of, but when I do, it really emphasised the almost-all-white outfit that I'm wearing. It could not be more glaringly obvious that here that colour is has pretty much disappeared from my clothing and can only be found in the background. But I really shouldn't make overarching statements like that because then something like this happens. 

Either way, these photos make me miss the sunshine like crazy because all we've had in Sydney for the past few weeks are rain storms interspersed with random bursts of sunshine.

Since turning the ripe of age of 21 a few years back, I've been lamenting my old age. All maladies, real or imagined, have been laid in front of old age's door. The most noticeable of which is the fact that I don't really know how to wear colour and/or patterns anymore, especially in winter. All bursts of colour have been subdued to lipsticks, accessories and the occasional printed denim. When I'm feeling really crazy, I wear navy like its nobody's business.

For the past season or two, the one print that's really gotten past my new-found, age-induced barrier against colours and prints, is the Proenza Schouler snake print and the Josh Goot snake print. So, when I saw this bright yellow snakeprint cashmere sweater from Equipment, there was minimal hesitation before my credit card was out and ready for action. 

Perhaps old age merely meant no prints except for those found on animals? Because I don't think I'll ever stop loving leopard.

This top was one of the only things I bought from Forever 21 when I was in Japan. I don't know why I chose
to buy a thin chiffon top when the weather was anything but accommodating but I'm glad I did. It's the perfect pop
of colour I need to inject into my wardrobe, especially in consideration of my recent affair with white, grey and black.
The subtle paisley print reminds me of the Opening Ceremony wrapping paper, which I absolutely adore and my
Isabel Marant shorts (seen here) which I've gotten crazy wear out of. 

I love finding prints that are easy to match, even though I've only just worn it with a simple pair of white
tailored shorts here. But really, it's the perfect outfit to wear during autumn days when the weather still thinks 
its summer.

Given the opportunity, I would love to spend my days holed up in 

a cafe somewhere with a good book, endless food and an inappropriately large 

cup of coffee (flat white on skim, if it ever comes up), peppered with

the occasional trip down the street to where the boutiques are lined up.

But since there are things like uni and work, I can just dream and plan

until my days off.

My mum is the type of person that will say what's on her mind; it's often led to me hastily changing my outfit last minute. She's a bit of a paradox to me, sometimes she has her very conservative ralph lauren wearing days but then she'll go out and buy a pair of white J Brand jeans before I even get on the trend.

But I digress, my mum calls these my pyjama-soccar-playing shorts. She says that they're a mix of the perfect pyjama pant and the side split (which I love the best) reminds her of sports shorts. 

Mother (mostly) knows best; just not in this case. I still love these shorts!
