neon lust.

I was pretty much just minding my own business when I innocently opened an ill-fated email from net-a-porter. I thought it would be safe considering the fact that its sales were over and I'd done enough damage. But nope, boy was I wrong. I was savagely assaulted by a neon thing in the shape of an Acne beanie. It was instantaneous and all consuming lust. The kind where consequences be damned, you'll explain it to your girlfriend/boyfriend the next day but right now at this moment you had to give into your primal desires.

But I'm stronger than that. 

So instead of actually buying the beanie (and fyi- I've been on the hunt for a neon beanie for the longest time) I bought it virtually through polyvore. It's a complex relationship that I have with polyvore. That bitch is really good at making me buy more. Really good.

But I really can't justify 83 pounds on a beanie. 

I know you're not supposed to put a price on love, but really this is just lust.

How sunny is this dress? I'm having the biggest fascination with yellow at the moment; it really cheers me up on a dull day. Which this day turned out to be, it was all sunshines and lollipops in the morning so le bf and I decided to drive to have brunch near the beaches. Cutest place called Three Blue Ducks and there steak sandwiches were definitely worth the wait on the table (you'd know if you follow my instagram @thechicndamned). But the day was filled with two fails on my part; I forgot my camera (which resulted in the iPhone photos a la above) and the sun decided to play a very intense game of hide'n'seek after brunch. The wind picked up and all of a sudden my outfit became very weather inappropriate...but what else is new?

madrid villa - isabel lopez-quesada

I'm a huge closeted fan of interior design; I wanted to be an interior designer after I did work experience at an architectural firm and decided that I loved the inside of the houses more than the actual houses. I love how home-y this villa is, the careful mixture of colours and textures. I have to admit, my favourite space is that amazing bathtub and those windows. Adore.

I haven't been feeling the best this past week, there's this nasty flu that's been going around and I fell like a domino piece. I wore this outfit when I thought I was well enough to leave the house my bedroom (I was wrong) so I stuck to basics and what ended up to be mostly high street pieces. The ASOS jeans add the perfect touch of bright to an otherwise monochrome palette, I'd originally wore them with thigh-high boots when I was out that morning but I was too lazy to pull them on again. The jeans don't have the greatest cut nor does it have great quality but I have definitely gotten my moneys back with the amount of times I wear it. I couldn't really justify the purchase of a more high end brand at the time but now I wish I had- they've quickly become a staple! But I made up for it by purchasing a pair of 7FAM neon yellow jeans during the Shopbop sale, hopefully you'll see it soon!

How amazing is the new lookbook from the girls at Stylestalker?
A right mixture of sexy, rock, glamour and stripes.
I'm loving the white shirt with thigh-high boots. DROOL. And those embroidered pants? COME TO MAMA!

Happy Bastille Day!

It's only right that I wear the quintessential trench coat - even if Burberry is as english as it gets.

The trench is the perfect coat for a sunny winter's day and whilst it's usually worn with a striped tee, I paired it with its younger sister in the pattern family. Polka dots, denim and more denim? Nice.
